Audio Visual

 

Audio Visual installation is the process of setting up and integrating various software and hardware components that enable communication, collaboration and monitoring through audio and video technologies. Some of the components of audio-visual installations are:

  • Conferencing technology such as microphones, cameras, speakers and software that allow virtual and in-person meetings.
  • Video wall displays, multiple screens that can display one or more images.

Video Surveillance

We install and maintains video cameras from a top supplier of some of the most well-known VMS (Video Management Systems) on the market.  We’ll work with you to find the perfect video camera set up for the unique surveillance needs of your industrial, commercial or municipal property. Our System can be found on k – 12 school systems, Jewish Synagogue, Retailers, offices and much more. They have relied on our services for custom video systems. We also offer Service Contracts for preventative maintenance and troubleshooting.

  • Warranty: This is typically provided by the manufacturer and covers the repair or replacement of specific hardware and software for a set period. A warranty generally does not cover preventative maintenance.
  • Maintenance Agreement: A service agreement provides routine preventative check-ups, system monitoring, and specific support services, including remote and on-site assistance. It remains in effect even after the manufacturer's warranty expires. 


An SLA is a specific part of a service agreement that defines the level of service and expectations for both parties. It typically includes: 

  • Pricing.
  • Response times.
  • Types of support provided (e.g., help desk, remote, on-site, or break-fix).
  • Communication methods.
  • Escalation procedures. 


A comprehensive low-voltage and audio-visual maintenance contract should define the expectations of all parties and protect both the client and the service provider. Key sections include: 

  • Scope of services: A detailed outline of what is covered, such as routine inspections, emergency repairs, and software updates.
  • Service schedule: The frequency and timing of preventative maintenance visits.
  • Response times: A clear definition of how quickly the service provider will respond to a support request.
  • Equipment details: A list of all equipment covered under the agreement.

  • Termination clauses: The conditions under which either party can end the contract.
  • Warranties and guarantees: What protections are in place if the service is not up to standard.
  • Dispute resolution: A process for resolving disagreements, such as mediation or arbitration. 


The recommended maintenance frequency can vary depending on the type and age of the equipment and its operating environment. Some industry guidelines suggest:

  • Routine maintenance: A preventative inspection and maintenance schedule for low-voltage circuit breakers is often recommended every 1 to 3 years, though some components may require it more frequently.
  • New equipment: For low-voltage switchgear, an initial inspection 3 to 6 months after installation is often advised.
  • Environmental factors: More frequent service may be needed in dusty, dirty, or humid conditions, or if the equipment experiences frequent use.
  • Equipment inactivity: Breakers that sit inactive for more than six months should be exercised to prevent components from becoming stiff. 


 AV as a Service is a model where instead of purchasing expensive AV equipment, a business pays a regular fee for the installation, use, and ongoing support of the system. With this model, you pay for the service rather than owning the assets, which helps reduce overhead costs and keeps technology up-to-date.
